The RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing Completion Program
After achieving state licensure, an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Nursing provides strong employability in the health care field. Graduates have a smooth articulation into a BSN completion program, and the credits earned in the ADN Program can be applied toward a bachelor's degree. Through a unique partnership between Kent State Ashtabula, TriPoint Medical Center and Lakeland Community College, this program allows students to attend classes at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord, Ohio or Kent State Ashtabula. The RN/BSN Online Degree Program
The College of Nursing at Kent State University is pleased to offer registered nurses (RNs) a CCNE-accredited RN/BSN online degree program dedicated to the advancement of nursing and continued improvement in overall health care. The Associate Degree in Nursing leads to becoming a Registered Nurse.
Registered Nurses provide care to individuals in an effort to attain, restore and maintain health. To do that, they must apply critical thinking skills, clinical competence, accountability, adaptability and a commitment to the value of caring. The goal of the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program is to prepare a Registered Nurse who is a provider of care, a manager of care, and a member of the profession. ADN students receive preparation to provide care for patients across the lifespan.
