RADT Scholarships

Radiologic Technology is proud to offer new and continuing students several scholarship opportunities.  To apply for any of the scholarships below, please download the current scholarship application.  

Fall 2014 Scholarships
Applications are DUE by April 25, 2014. 
Please submit all scholarship applications to Student Services (Central Office) in Main Hall.

Susan Rizzo-Noles Radiologic Technology Endowed Scholarship
Amount: Varies
Number Available: One

This scholarship was established by the family of Susan Rizzo-Noles to recognize an outstanding radiologic technology student who exhibits professionalism, compassion, empathy towards others and a genuine love of radiology.

  • Must be a second year radiologic technology student at Kent State Ashtabula
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong work ethic, enthusiasm for learning and the potential to contribute to the profession as evidenced by the scholarship application


Radiologic Technology Alumni Scholarship
Amount: Up to $250
Number Available: One

Funded by Kent State University at Ashtabula Radiologic Technology alumni, this scholarship was established to assist current students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology program at the Ashtabula campus.

  • Must be a returning student in the second year of the radiologic technology program at Kent State Ashtabula
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
  • Demonstrated financial need as determined by FAFSA


Fred Larson Radiologic Technology Memorial Scholarship
Amount: Up to $500
Number Available: One

Funded by Barbara Larson, Clinical Education Coordinator for the Radiologic Technology program at Kent State Ashtabula, this scholarship was established in memory of Barbara's husband, Fred, to assist current students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology degree program at the Ashtabula campus.

  • Must be a non-traditional, first-year student enrolled in the Radiologic Technology program at Kent State Ashtabula
  • Demonstrate financial need as determined by FAFSA
  • $500 will be awarded to recipient who meets the minimum scholarship criteria
  • Previous recipients of the scholarship will be eligible for a $500 award IF enrollment in the Radiologic Technology program is continued into the second year.
