Admission and Application Information
Admissions and Application Information
A high school diploma or GED is all that is necessary for Ohio students to register for most classes in viticulture at Kent State University Ashtabula.
Many of our practical enology (winemaking) courses also require students to be 21 years of age (or older), before the first day of class, in order to comply with state and federal alcohol consumption laws.
Kent State University Ashtabula has prepared a special joint KSU-VESTA program application for students wishing to register and take classes in the enology and viticulture program at Kent State University. Completion of this joint application form eliminates the need to register separately for admission to Kent State University and the VESTA program (although students may still pursue those independent routes of admission). This form is sent as part of the welcome package you will receive if you have requested information about the viticulture and enology program from Kent State University. If you are unsure of which classes to take then leave the course selection table blank and a KSU academic advisor will contact you. Please return the form by mail, fax, or email to the address/number listed on the form.
