Wine and Must Analysis Workshop with Dr. Barry Gump

Join us for a hands-on workshop covering analytical chemistry involved in wine production. Topics covered in this two-day workshop include:
- Soluble solids
- Sugar per berry by refractometry
- pH and total acidity
- Sugars by Clinitest
- Sulfur dioxide by AO
- Volatile acidity
- Malolactic fermentation
- Formol-reduced volume procedure
Co-hosted by Kent State University Ashtabula and the VESTA National Center, this workshop will be held in the Chemistry lab at the Kent State University Ashtabula Campus, Robert S. Morrison Health and Science Building, 3300 Lake Road West, Ashtabula, Ohio.
Dr. Barry Gump, Professor of Analytical Chemistry and Enology at Florida International University, VESTA faculty member, and co-author of Wine Analysis and Production, will lead the workshop.
