9th Annual Chemistry Honors Week Celebration of Student Achievement

Posted Apr. 6, 2011

Join the faculty, students and staff of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 as we celebrate student achievement.  Dr. Janet Bluemel from Texas A&M University will present the plenary lecture, "Homogenous Catalysts Immobilized on Silica by Optimized Linker Systems for Superior Lifetimes and Activities" at 2:00p.m. in the Kiva.  Dr. Bluemel's research interests are inorganic and organometallic chemistry, catalysis, and solid-state NMR spectroscopy.

We will recognize our undergraduate and graduate student award and scholarship recipients during a reception in the Ballroom Balcony of the Kent Student Center.  The reception will be held from 3:30 until approximately 5:30 p.m., with the presentation of awards at 4:00 p.m.

Be sure to join us for both the plenary lecture and the reception.
