Connie Bowler has been named director of the nursing programs at Kent State University at Ashtabula. Bowler will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and leadership of the nursing programs on the Campus.
She was attracted to the position because of the Ashtabula Campus nursing program’s reputation and professionalism. "I have seen the passion and vision from the program over the years and I wanted to become part of that, "she said.
Bowler was most recently the lead instructor in practical nursing at the Auburn Career Center in Concord. She also served as the wellness director in the Perry School system, the educational coordinator at Ashtabula County Medical Center and as a clinical instructor at the Cleveland Clinic.
She earned her master of science in nursing degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia, her bachelor of science in nursing at Ursuline College and her associate degree in nursing from Kent State at Ashtabula.
