Honors College, College of the Arts Hold 8th Annual Celebration of Student Work Art ShowPosted Mar. 3, 2014
The 8th Annual Honors College/College of the Arts Student Art Show will officially open Thursday, March 6 at 5:00 p.m. with its opening reception.
The student art show demonstrates a collaborative effort between the Honors College and College of the Arts. The exhibit features creative pieces from eight undergraduate Honors students and includes paintings, drawings, jewelry, and a garment.
Curators from the art museums in Canton and Massillon will serve as guest judges to evaluate more than a dozen student pieces. The top two students representing best of show that evening will receive a gift card.
This year's show was coordinated by a dedicated team of students in conjunction with Vicki Bocchiccio, Director, Academic Programs for the Honors College. The student team included senior curator Margalit Schindler, junior curator David Solberg, and graphic designers Martha Arbogast and Rachel Kozy.
The exhibit will run through early April. Guests may visit the Honors College Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to view the pieces.
