Auditions set for Summer Stock 36 productions

The Kent State University at Trumbull Theatre will be staging auditions for Summer Stock 2013 on April 25, 2013 from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. and April 27, 2013 from 10 a.m.-Noon.

This season the troupe will stage a trio of productions geared toward young people, including the following:

  • Grandmother Tales adapted for the stage by R. Rex Stephenson and directed by Patricia M. Fagan. This production will take place in June at Kent State Trumbull is appropriate for children aged 10-17.
  • Puss 'N Boots, a children's theatre tour, written by Patricia M. Fagan and directed by Jenny Bitner, will perform in July with roles for children aged 8-17.
  • Grease, by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, is a musical to be directed by Renee Johntony and is appropriate for ages 14 and up. The well known adaptation will be performed in July.

Additionally, the Summer Stock crew will be staging acting classes for children ages 8-13. The participation fee for 2013 is $50.

Singers who wish to audition for Grease should prepare a song. Otherwise, actors should be prepared to read from the scripts. Auditions will occur on the dates and times above, in the lobby of the Kent Trumbull Theatre, 4314 Mahoning Avenue NW, Warren.
