A new scholarship has been established by a local business networking organization to be given to a bachelor degree student at Kent State University at Ashtabula. The members of the BNI Ashtabula chapter are civic-minded individuals who advocate higher education.

This $500 scholarship will be awarded to one female and one male student who need additional financial support to pursue a higher education.

To be qualified, students must have already completed at least one semester at the Ashtabula Campus with a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Students must also be enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program and write a short essay describing the importance of community involvement.
