Kent Trumbull Library to offer grant workshopPosted Feb. 12, 2013
The Grant Information Center at Kent State University at Trumbull will offer “Foundation Fundraising: An Introductory Course”, a workshop that will help attendees understand the differences between independent, corporate and community foundations, how to identify grant-seeking resources and effectively engage with funders. The workshop will take place on March 21, 2013 from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Participants will receive a one-week subscription to The Foundation Directory Online Professional ($40 value), a free copy of Foundation Fundamentals ($34.95 value), a workbook and worksheet templates used in the course. Lunch will also be included.
Cost of the workshop is $30 and participants can register by calling 330-675-8809 or in person at the Kent State Trumbull Technology Building, weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Kent Trumbull Library is a member of the Foundation Center’s nationwide network. This group of libraries, community foundations, and other non-profit organizations provides a vast collection of resources for individuals and agencies that do fundraising. The Kent Trumbull Library is open to the public and parking is free. Grantmaker directories, books on fundraising and nonprofit management and the Foundation Center’s electronic database. The Foundation Directory Online, are provided for free public access as a service to the community. The database includes detailed profiles of all active U.S. foundations, as well as an extensive file of recent grants awarded by the nation’s top funders.
