Congressman Bill Johnson was welcomed to the Kent State University Salem campus by Dean Steve Nameth on April 4. The congressman was on site for “Mineral Rights: Unraveling Federal Taxation,” an educational forum and town hall presentation for area residents and tax experts. Representatives of the Internal Revenue Service were also on hand to answer questions. The congressman was able to use computer and video technology in the Health and Sciences Wing that allowed him to host a virtual meeting with participants on the East Liverpool campus at the same time.
