Master of Arts in Math Info Night on July 25Posted Jul. 18, 2013
Kent State University at Stark is working with the Stark County Educational Service Center to recruit educators for the new Master of Arts (M.A.) in Mathematics for secondary teachers, beginning in the fall semester 2013.
This three-year program, offered in summer and evening courses, is collaboratively designed by faculty in mathematical sciences and teacher education for in-service high school teachers seeking a master’s degree in math.
Kristin MacDonald, a Jackson High School math teacher, recently earned her master’s in mathematics degree. “The Kent State University Master of Arts in Mathematics program offered flexible hours and allowed me to complete my degree in a timely manner. The courses were interesting and rigorous. I would fully recommend this program to any teacher interested in furthering their education in mathematics,” she says.
Kent State Stark will host an Information Night for the new master’s program on Thursday, July 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Main Hall Conference Room One, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. The presentation is free and open to the public. Following the presentation will be an opportunity for questions and discussion.
